Module 1: Introduction to Interior Designing (1 month)

  • The history and evolution of interior design
  • Principles of design and elements of interior decoration
  • Understanding space planning and layout
  • Introduction to color theory and texture in design
  • Basics of lighting and its impact on interior spaces.
  • Introduction to various styles of interior design

Module 2: Interior Design Materials and Finishes (1 month)

  • Overview of different materials used in interior design
  • Understanding the properties and applications of various materials and finishes.
  • Exploring different finishes, such as paints, wallpapers, and flooring options
  • Introduction to sustainable and eco-friendly materials in design
  • Hands-on activities to understand material and finish selection

Module 3: Furniture and Fixtures (1 month)

  • Understanding different types of furniture and their functions
  • Exploring different styles and designs of furniture
  • Introduction to ergonomics and human-cantered design
  • Learning how to create furniture layouts and furniture placement
  • Selecting appropriate fixtures, such as lighting fixtures, door hardware and plumbing fixtures

Module 4: Interior Design Styles and Themes (1 month)

  • In-depth exploration of various interior design styles, such as contemporary, classic, industrial, and minimalist
  • Introduction to thematic design concepts, such as bohemian, coastal, and Scandinavian
  • Analysing case studies and real-life examples of different design styles
